THE OVERLY RIGHTEOUS CONSCIENCE

Have you ever had the feeling of giving more to someone than he/she deserves? if you have, that's fine, kudos, God bless your kind heart. Do you always get far less than you deserve?, and then you tell yourself "oh, that's fine, let me keep mute about it", never expressing yourself?, then my dear friend, I've got some news for you. You have not only given people the privilege to disrespect you, you have also offended yourself. You have misplaced your self-love, you have starved yourself of the love you deserve and, if you'll sincerely agree with me, you do not feel good about it.
Sometimes we feel it will be wrong to politely tell people we will not be able to grant that which they desire, we feel the world will see us as selfish, wicked, bad and so we grant their requests, they get satisfied, we get confused, our schedules are disrupted and then we get angry with ourselves. At the end of it all, they are happy, we are not. Why then do we do this when we know what sad experience we would feel afterwards?, often our answer is; we would feel guilty then come out as wicked people to the world, inhumane and hardhearted.
An overly righteous conscience cages our freewill and breeds inferiority complex which is a strong dream killer. I am not an advocate of
selfishness but I strongly believe that everyone deserves to love him/herself, then from that well of self-love, love for neighbour springs up and is original not faked,it is given freely without regret or grudge.
